Run a program and take applications
Create an accelerator, incubator or other program for your organization, open applications, invite startups and decide who gets in.
Programs belong to an organization. Switch to your organization first: Programs is under Your organization in the menu.
Create a program
- Open Programs and choose Create program.
- Fill in the required fields: Program name, Program tagline, Program format and Overview. Add the program type, dates, focus areas, benefits, requirements and who it is Open to if you like.
- Choose Create program.
To let AI draft one, choose Manage workspace (the gear in the sidebar), then Settings and Programs, and choose Create with AI. Describe the program in Program brief, review what it writes, then save.
Open applications
A new program starts as Draft, so nobody can apply yet.
- On Programs, choose Configure, then Configure on the program.
- Under Status, choose Accepting applications.
- Choose Save changes.
Open programs appear on Explore and take applications. Owners and admins of a startup apply from the program's page, or from a card on your own website: see Put your community, program or event on your website.
Ask your own questions
Besides the startup's page and a message, a program can ask its own questions.
- On Programs, choose Configure, then Configure on the program.
- Under Application questions, add each question: short or long text, a choice, several choices, or a checkbox. Turn on Required for the ones people must answer.
- Choose Save changes.
Startups answer them when they apply, and each application shows the answers under the message.
Invite startups
- On Programs, choose Invite startups on the program.
- Under Invite a startup by email, enter the founder's address and choose Invite. Founders already on StartupCorners are enrolled directly. Others get an email invitation.
- Or copy the Referral link and share it. It shows how many people signed up through it.
Copy share link copies the link to the program's public page.
Decide on applications
Each program on Programs shows its number of Applications. Choose that number to open the program's applications. Your organization's team and the program's managers can open them. While you are in the program, they are also under Manage workspace (the gear in the sidebar), in the Applications tab.
- New lists the applications nobody has decided yet. Accepted, Waitlisted and Declined list the ones already decided. Each shows how many it holds.
- Search by startup or founder with Search startup or founder.
- Each application shows the startup's stage and sector, who applied and when, the message they wrote, and their answers to your questions. View their page opens the startup's page in a new tab.
To decide on one, choose Accept, Waitlist or Decline on it, then confirm. On a computer you can tick several, or tick Select all on this page to decide together, and decide on them at once.
- Accept: the startup joins the program right away.
- Waitlist: the application moves to Waitlisted. You can still accept or decline it later.
- Decline: the application moves to Declined.
The founder who applied gets an email and a notification for each decision. Accepted and declined applications stay as they are.
The assistant decides the same way. Open it with Ask AI while your organization is the workspace and ask for example "Show the new applications to our spring cohort". It can also add a note, which is quoted in the founder's email.
