Send a monthly investor update
Write a short update with last month's numbers and send it by email to the investors in your CRM.
For foundersUpdated Oct 24, 2026
An investor update is an email with the month's metrics, a few paragraphs from you and your asks. It goes to the investors in your CRM.
- Open KPIs and pick the Investor updates tab.
- Choose Compose update.
- Pick the Period. The metrics come from that month in KPIs.
- Write a Subject and the Narrative. Add Asks (optional), like intros you are looking for; they get their own section at the end.
- Check the metrics card. If a number is missing, choose Edit in KPI and fill it in first.
- Under Recipients, pick who gets it. Committed and wired investors with an email on file are selected for you. Select all and Clear help; investors with No email on file cannot be picked.
- Choose the send button, which says how many investors it goes to.
Your draft is saved to your account as you type, so you can finish it later on another device. Save draft saves it at once.
After sending
The page shows how many emails were delivered. Each delivered update is logged in that investor's activity in the CRM.
Past updates are under Sent updates, newest first. Monthly cadence shows which months already have an update.
