Create and assign a task
Add a task for your team, give it a due date and priority, and assign it to someone.
Tasks belong to the workspace you are in, so your teammates see the same list. Open Tasks from the sidebar.
Create a task
- Choose New task in the top bar.
- Give it a Title, and a Description (optional) if it helps.
- Pick a Priority (Low, Medium, High or Urgent) and a Due date.
- Under Assignee (optional), search for the person and pick them.
- Choose Create Task.
You can give a task to yourself, your teammates, your connections and members of communities you run. In a program, the program's people come first in the search. The search only finds people you can assign.
The same form can make it a Recurring task: tick Repeat this task on a schedule and pick how often, from Daily to Yearly, or Custom for every few days. You can also attach files with Add file and pick Tags.
Add tasks quickly
In the list, type in the Add a task row at the top and press Enter, then keep typing the next one. Press C to jump to that row.
On a phone, tap the round + button, type the title, pick when it is Due and its Priority, and choose Add task. More options opens the full form.
Assign or reassign a task
Open the task, choose the name next to Assignee (or Unassigned), search for the person and pick them. The search offers the same people as when you create a task. Unassign takes it off them. The person you assign when you create a task gets a push notification, and an email unless they turned off Task assignments in their notification settings (see Choose which emails and notifications you get).
In a program, tasks are added by the program's team; others can read them and comment.
