Add your photo and profile
Right after your page goes live, add your photo, a headline, a short bio and your city, so people know who is behind the page.
Your page is your company's. Your profile is yours: your photo and headline show next to every message, comment and intro you send.
Right after sign-up
When your link is live, choose Next: your profile. If you signed up with Google or through an invitation, this step opens by itself when the setup wizard ends.
- Add a photo: choose Choose a photo, or drop one on the photo box. On a phone, Take one opens the camera. JPG, PNG or WebP, up to 5 MB.
- Drag the photo to centre your face and use Zoom. With a keyboard, the arrow keys move it and plus and minus zoom. Choose Use this photo, or Choose another.
- Check your First name and Last name, then add a Headline, a Short bio and your City. The preview on the right shows how your profile and your messages look.
- Choose Save and go to Home. If you came to do something specific, the button reads Save and continue and takes you there.
Not now? Choose Skip for now. The step shows only once.
Angels and mentors are asked for a photo and a city only: your name, your line and your links came from your sign-up form, and your line becomes your headline.
Fill it from LinkedIn
LinkedIn shares your headline, About and location with other apps only through your profile PDF, so that is what StartupCorners reads.
- Choose Fill from LinkedIn, on this step or on your profile page.
- On a computer, open your LinkedIn profile and choose Resources (or More), then Save to PDF.
- Back in StartupCorners, choose Choose your LinkedIn PDF, pick the file and choose Read my PDF.
- Under Here is what we found, untick anything you do not want. Past roles adds a line about your previous jobs to the end of your bio.
- Choose Use these. The form fills in; nothing is saved until you save your profile.
The PDF is read once and never kept. You can read up to five PDFs a day.
Use your LinkedIn photo
- Choose Fill from LinkedIn, then Use my LinkedIn photo at the top.
- Sign in to LinkedIn if it asks, and allow StartupCorners.
- You come back to the same page with "Your LinkedIn photo is on your profile." It replaces the photo you had.
StartupCorners keeps only the photo: it does not stay connected to your LinkedIn, and you still sign in with your email (or Google). The PDF is how your headline, About and location come in.
Change it later
Choose your name at the bottom of the menu, then Edit profile. Choose Upload photo to pick a new photo and crop it the same way, or Fill from LinkedIn, then change any field and choose Save changes.
