Connect Stripe to show revenue
Read your MRR, ARR, customers and revenue from your own Stripe and show them on your page as Verified by Stripe.
StartupCorners reads your Stripe with a restricted, read-only key, so it can never change anything in your Stripe. Only owners and admins of a startup can connect it.
Make a read-only key in Stripe
- In Stripe, open Developers, API keys and choose Create restricted key.
- Name it StartupCorners. Set Invoices to Read and leave everything else on None.
- Copy the key. It starts with rk_live_.
Connect it
- Open Apps with your startup as the workspace. Find Stripe revenue and choose Connect.
- In the panel, choose Connect Stripe.
- Paste the key into Restricted key and choose Connect Stripe. The key is stored encrypted, and only its last four characters are shown again.
What you get
The panel shows your MRR, ARR, Paying customers and Revenue this month. StartupCorners reads them every night from 24 months of paid invoices, and they show on your profile as Verified by Stripe, except for a month where you typed your own number. Sync now reads them again right away.
Who sees each number is set in Key metrics (there is a link at the bottom of the panel).
If Stripe stops accepting the key, the card says Needs attention. Open it and paste a new key under Connect again with a new key.
The Stripe app in the same list is a different one: it lets your agents look up customers and payments.
