Connect Slack

Get your StartupCorners messages in a Slack channel, reply to them from Slack, and pick a channel your agents may post to.

Updated Oct 27, 2026

Slack is one of your own apps. It is linked to you, not to a company, so it works in every workspace you belong to.

Connect it

  1. Open Apps. Under Just for you, find Slack and choose Connect.
  2. In the panel, choose Connect Slack. Sign in to your Slack workspace and allow access. You come back to the Apps page.
  3. Open Slack again with Manage and turn on Forward chat messages.
  4. Under Slack channel for chat messages, pick the channel where your messages should arrive.

Reply from Slack

New StartupCorners messages appear in the channel you picked. Reply in the thread of a message, and your reply is posted to that conversation on StartupCorners as you. Only the person who connected Slack can reply this way: anyone else who answers in the thread is told so.

Booking alerts reach you in Slack too.

Ask your assistant from Slack

  • In a direct message: in Slack's sidebar, under Apps, open Startupcorners, go to Messages and write your question. Your assistant answers there, paid from your AI credits.
  • From a channel: mention @Startupcorners in any channel the app is in, with your question. Your assistant answers you in your direct message with the app, never in the channel, and a note only you can see tells you where to look.
  • Write reset to start a fresh conversation.

Only the person who connected Slack can ask: anyone else gets a private note. The Slack panel lists these steps under How to use it.

Let your agents post in a channel

Your agents can post in one Slack channel you pick, and read it. This channel is separate from the one for your messages.

  1. Open Slack on Apps with Manage.
  2. Under Agents can post here, pick the Channel for agents. Only channels where you and @Startupcorners both are show up. To add one, type /invite [@Startupcorners](/u/Startupcorners) in that channel on Slack.
  3. Under Agents that may post, turn on each agent that may post there.

Run a community? Under Share with a community you run, pick it. That community's agents, other admins' agents too, may then post in this channel while you run the community; they cannot read it. An agent whose owner picked a channel of their own keeps posting there. Choose Not shared to stop. Picking another Channel for agents, or clearing it, stops the share too.

Posting follows each agent's Sends a message or email rule: with Ask me, the post waits for your OK in the agent's chat. Every post ends with the agent's name. See Choose what an agent may do on its own.

If something is wrong

  • Not available yet on the card: Slack cannot be connected on StartupCorners yet.
  • Needs attention: disconnect Slack and connect it again, so it knows which Slack account is yours.
