Control who sees your email and online status
Choose whether members see your email address and when you are online, and whether you show up in member lists.

Your privacy settings cover your personal profile. Each switch saves right away.
- Open Account settings from the menu with your name, then choose Privacy.
- Under Profile visibility, set the three switches:
- Show online status: when it is off, others see you as offline in messages.
- Show in member directory: when it is off, you are left out of people search and community member lists.
- Show email address: when it is on, signed-in members see your email on your profile. It is off until you turn it on.
Your memberships
The Memberships card on your profile lists your companies and the communities you belong to, with your role in each. A community that is Invite only shows there only to its own members.
