Top Accelerator Deadlines for Founders: Week of Sep 2, 2026

This week's digest covers three open programs with deadlines running from late September through mid-October 2026. Whether you are still searching for a co-founder or ready to pitch a traction-backed startup, at least one of these programs is worth your time.

Pre-Seed

  • Antler (apply by Sep 25, 2026) focuses on pre-team founders looking for a co-founder and a first cheque. Antler's residency model places you alongside other founders-in-residence and backs teams it helps form. Ideal if you have a strong skill set but have not yet locked in a technical or commercial partner. Apply here

  • Entrepreneur First (apply by Oct 15, 2026) runs a talent-first, co-founder matching program designed for exceptional individuals before they have a company. EF selects for raw talent and domain expertise, then facilitates team formation during the program itself. Best suited for founders who want a structured process for finding the right co-founder before committing to a specific idea. Apply here

Seed

No seed-stage-specific programs are open this week. Check back in the next digest for upcoming seed-focused opportunities.

Series A

No Series A programs are featured this week. Most traditional accelerators at this stage run on annual cycles, so watch for announcements in Q4 2026.

All Stages

  • Y Combinator Winter 2027 batch (apply by Sep 25, 2026) is open to startups at all stages, with particular interest in AI, hard tech, fintech, and climate. YC is the most recognized accelerator globally and offers $500k in funding, an unmatched alumni network, and Demo Day access to top-tier investors. The application is the same regardless of your stage, and YC does fund very early companies, including some that apply before launching a product. Apply here

How to Prioritise

If you do not yet have a co-founder, apply to Antler or Entrepreneur First first, since both programs are built around solving exactly that problem before YC would be the right fit. If you have a founding team and early traction (or a compelling thesis), prioritise the Y Combinator application above all else given its Sep 25, 2026 deadline, which arrives before both pre-seed programs close.
