What the CRM is for
One table for the investors, customers and people your startup works with, each with its own stage, amount and next step.
The CRM keeps everyone your startup works with in one place: the investors you raise from, your customers and the people in your network. Each entry keeps its own stage, amount and next step.
Open it from the sidebar: CRM, under Your startup. The CRM belongs to a startup, so switch to your startup's workspace first if the page asks you to. A startup made in a course gets its CRM once it goes public: see Ask to make your student startup public.
The lists
The chips at the top of the CRM choose what the table shows:
- All: everyone from every list, last changed first. Find someone with Search by name.
- Investors: the firms and angels you raise from, from Prospect to Wired (or Passed).
- Customers: your customer deals, from Lead to Closed won (or Closed lost).
- Network: people you keep in touch with, marked To meet, In touch, Close or Dormant.
Each chip shows how many entries its list holds. Pick one to see that list as a board or a table, with its own stages and fields.
After the lists, Forms shows the forms on your website that add people to your lists. Owners and admins make and change them. See Add a form to your website.
Records
Every row is a record: a company, a person or a deal. A record has its own page with its fields, notes and history, and it can sit in more than one list. Click any row to open it.
These are the names a new CRM starts with. A workspace admin can rename lists and add stages and fields: see Add fields and stages to the CRM.
