Add an investor, customer or contact

Put someone in a CRM list, either a record already in your CRM or a new company, deal or person.

For foundersUpdated Oct 25, 2026

Everyone in the CRM sits in a list. Add people from the CRM itself, or straight from the investor directory.

From the CRM

  1. Open CRM.
  2. Choose Add in the top bar, then the list, like Add to Investors. When a list's chip is already picked, the button says what it adds: Add investor, Add deal or Add person.
  3. Under Status, pick the stage the entry starts in.
  4. Type a name. If the company, deal or person is already in your CRM, pick it from the results and you are done.
  5. Otherwise choose the create line under the results, like Create a new company. Fill in the first fields and choose Create and add.

A new company asks for its Name and Domain, a deal for its Name and Value, a person for their Name, Emails and Job title. Fill in the rest later on the record's page.

If a company with that domain, or a person with that email, is already in your CRM, the dialog says so and offers Open that record.

On a board, the + at the top of a column adds straight into that stage.

To add many at once from a spreadsheet, choose Import CSV next to the add button. See Import people or companies from a spreadsheet.

From the investor directory

In Investors, choose Add to pipeline on an investor. They join your Investors list at Prospect. See Find investors for your startup.
